Monday 24th March

Beautiful morning and a lovely day. Only did routine chores outside today, but was at the hub and at my desk. We did get outside to a cuppa, though. Love our wee pavilion. The lights for round the outside were delivered today and Dan’s bought a wee radio.

Tuesday 25th March

Another lovely day, after rain overnight. This should get the grass growing.

C and I met for lunch and a catch up at Balgove Larder. Lovely food and good chat, as usual. I bought my usual pork chops from the butcher’s counter, and lamb’s liver and beef olives. Braw. And a few other bits and pieces, including frozen almond croissants for Dan’s birthday breakfast tomorrow.

Dan cut the back “lawn”. It does look much better.

Wednesday 26th March

Dan’s birthday so we had fresh baked almond croissants for breakfast, with milky coffee. Yum.

Another lovely day.

Light frost at 6am, but the sun was out straight away and it cleared to a glorious day. But very windy. Lorna and I has a walk along the front at Arbroath – beautiful. Twenty minutes out, into the wind and five minutes back, with the wind at our backs.

Diesel enjoyed the best of the sun.

DieselDiesel, enjoying the sun and missing the wind.

Thursday 27th March

Kinda miserable; cold, windy and raining on and off. Murdo was here so he and Dan got some jobs done around the place, including clearing out the scabby wee bed behind the plant room. No idea what I’m going to plant in it.

Friday 28th March

Sunny and windy. We’re off to Bamff Wildland for the weekend, to celebrate Dan’s birthday. Lewis is cat sitting, as we’re taking the dogs.

We didn't see any beaver, but we saw deer and red squirrels, red kite and beaver lodges and dams.
