This is an interesting idea , I think we might get the kids up and make the most of it.
We are running a 'sonic bloom' experiment this year with tomatoes. Growing them with no root feed at all (containers of sawdust), and using birdsong to stimulate there ability to feed through their leaves.
Research in the states has shown that plants have a much larger capacity to feed in this way than is currently utilised, due mainly to the comparative lack of birdsong now to times years ago when their habitat was more widespread.
We want to see the results from purely foiliar feeding in conjunction with birdsong as a datum and then hopefully provide full hi-fi in all the tunnels!!
