kids today!
« on: March 21, 2011, 08:34:12 pm »
well, off I go to work today, thinking about all the things we want to do at home this year & the things I need to stock up on ready for kidding & egg -hatching... having dreamt the other night that Geraldine had kidded & had a tiny, wet baby curled up to her when I went in feed them.

you've guessed it ... I got home to find my husband has spent the day mid-wifing!
so welcome these two gorgeous little ones to the world (girls I think - when I see them wee, I'll be sure!!)

names please...
Mum is Geraldine, Dad is Cesar & they have a big brother Max (who needs a new home if anyone is interested?)

their Dad (sorry, sire! ;)  ) is a pedigree Bagot.
these two have much less white than  Max, and luckily are different enough to tell apart!

Geraldine is a pedigree Toggenburg, they have her face markings.  the one at the front has like a star on her forehead... I thought "Stella" but o/h wasnt convinced!  mind you, he called Max "Cravendale" for three days, as he was so dark he looked like a black & white cow!!

sorry, I'm rambling .... just abit over-excited!  ::D

Lovely! I have to say the bagot does give them lovely colouring and markings. I like sugar and spice- I could use those names for my S line....

thanks.
katie, she is a really good mum... protective but lets them "find their feet" too.  they've been outside today, big brother Max was permitted a sniff of them, then they curled up in the corner and went to sleep!
Geraldine wasnt able to persuade them to get up so she was settling down next to them when we went in to help ... its still too cold to sleep under the stars at their age!

Husband calls them "Delilah" and "Delourious" (his spelling not mine!) but we'll see ....  ::D
