Does anyone have a recipe for cider from crab apples?

Hi Chriso - see the link in the 'Wanted,Original no additive Scrumpy recipe please!' post. Should work equally as well with crabs but not sure how it will tast - you may need to add quite a bit of sugar!

crab apples can be quite bitter, but the juice will ferment as usuall, if you mix plenty of sugar in and use with ordinary cider apples/ juice will be ok, we've put small quantities, say up to 15%  of crab apples in cider before with no problems, i wouldn't want to try making cider from crabs alone, theyre not that jucy either.....
