Double Yolker

Please dont laugh :roflanim: but we got our first double yolker today that got me thinking, if fertilised would these have been twins, do you get twins in the poultry world? :innocent:

there was a thread on this a while ago, i believe someone here managed to hatch 2 chicks from one egg but only one lived.

I have tried but the chicks/ducklings always died during developement. I don't think it is meant to be.

Twice I have had double yolkers hatch , first time both died the next day the second time 1 survived.
snake eggs on the other hand I have had loads of twins hatch from one egg and they always survived
