Munchies...
« on: March 27, 2013, 03:28:31 pm »
This is the first time I've ever changed a recipe to suit myself (I'm also new to baking  :eyelashes:  never been much use in the kitchen)   But I have just made the most awesome biscuit / cakey things & thought I would share the recipe for my Munchies...

8oz Butter / Marg
2.5 oz Castor Sugar
2.5oz Icing Sugar
1 x egg - beaten
10oz Self raising flour
2oz Custard powder
2 x 100g bars of chocolate (approx  :innocent:)

Set oven at 200 mix all ingredients together (EXCEPT one of the bars of choc) then add the beaten egg, knead into a doughy pile & split in half.
Roll half of the mixture out to cover a baking tray then grate or finley chop the other large bar of chocolate all over the top.
Roll out the other half of the doughy mix to cover that, so you have a thin sandwich type biscuit.  Cut lines in it to make little squares to make removing them easier.
 Bake for approx 20 mins.

Let them cool so the chocolate sets before eating them - but they are quite nice while they are warm too!
