Hourly rate for hedge cutting.

Is it going up? Just paid £40 per hour here in Shropshire.What is agricultural inflation rate at the moment for contractors?

£40/hr has been the standard contractor's rate for many years now. So I would expect it to be going up, or already be more in places. But the rate will always fluctuate greatly according to how big a job it is, whether the machinery is owner operated, and how modern the machinery etc.

Is there a recruitment problem?My hedge cutter blames it on HS2.They are paying £25 an hour in Staffs to drive tractors.
