Milking equipment

Hello, I am wondering what kind of equipment are you using to hold while milking or shearing goats or sheep?

Thanks

For milking in the shed I do have a stand the goat hops on and gets strapped in to eat while I milk (either machine or by hand). But not needed, just easier on my joints. Goats only needs tied up in theory, or not even that if she is placid enough.

I don't shear my goats (they are dairy), but for any sheep that I hand clip a couple of hurdles at right angles and the sheep tied up with halter, and then pushed up against one hurdle while I do one side, then switch over.

I have a cut down pallet, raised with a couple of 4x4" fastened underneath. A short chain and clip on the wall holds them there. I didn't always bother to the her, but she occasional saw her treat waiting and wandered off to help herself. LOL
I tied the sheep to a gate while I clipped them, but i like Anke's idea of right angled hurdles,  save all the backwards and forwards shuffling. Thanks Anke  :)

I’m looking at small scale milking machines this year. I have 5 to milk. Time and hand wise I’m confident I won’t be able to keep up with it all this year having a feral 15 month old daughter 😂
I’m getting another milking stand made (mine very died last time we had milking animals)
