So happy that my chickens will be able to finally go out after months and months of flockdown! After so many years I finally got my electric fence and only switched it on yesterday. Still testing!Recently (this autumn) we have had a badger move in in our area (or maybe a badger family ) so apart from a tone of foxes coming at day and night time, we have this to worry about too...
So what kind of fence did you settle on [member=156019]macgro7[/member] ? Are you mains powered or moving batteries around like us? Both our neighbours have battery units which rely on solar panels for charging and both have failed in bad weather (their cattle in our garden), so if you have chosen that setup make sure you check it.
In Scotland, birds are still under cover, day and night. Fortunately i only have four and they seem to get on OK, I give them extras, greenery etc. I suppose looking on the bright side their little paddock is getting a chance to grow
