time to start thinking about this years bee operations, have you looked what equipment you need to repair replace, have you thought about any new locations for hives, checked over your fave vails for holes big enough for them to get through.
 
the next couple of months is the time to do all the little jobs you put of last year.

thank you for the reminder. My bee year resolutions consist of attending the local bee keepers soc who run a beginners course starting in a few weeks time.

We went to put some fondant into our hives this morning. Didn't bother suiting up as it was just a quick lift the lid and chuck it in operation. Mistake!! Four out of the six hives were very active, lots of bees came out and the wife got stung three times! I'm still laughing now but then I didn't get stung .

the bees are all ways busy in the hive - so I learnt a long time ago that a face Vail is the min kit needed,
