So glad I live in the south - theres a lot of nutters up north they just cannot get on with each other and are very racist - even so called animal lovers who you think are like-minded    Can be a strange place to be when you see the police and army move in if they think there is going to be trouble, especially around Portadown, seen it on a normal Saturday, just shopping then suddenly all roads are sealed off and Army and PSNI are everywhere.

We had our first Swine Flu Death in the 'Republic of Ireland yesterday, a young girl from our part of the country (The West).

She had underlying health problems but what, and her name are not being released yet.

Also heard that it has also claimed a couple of people in Manorhamilton which is mid way between our place and Gavo - getting closer to home now!

My daughter gave me a good laugh yesterday.  One of her husband's colleagues was describing how they had barrier nursed a young maternity patient who had contracted what they had diagnosed as swine flu.  They had been meticulously wearing face masks, washing hands with special liquids, only allowed one midwife in with the poor girl(screaming and kicking as she didn't want to be the one to catch the dreaded lurgy ), no relatives allowed in etc etc - real barrier nursing stuff and all highly commendable - until my son-in-law pointed out that the face masks and washing facilities were for the patient and her husband not the staff - to prevent them infecting everyone else with coughs and sneezes!

if there is no connection between the jab and the nerve disease , then why are they telling doctors to watch and report ? They seem to want their cake and eat it too.... if the jab is so safe ? why did they remove, any possibility of the companies making the vaccine, being taken to court if there were any side effects ? It is safe !!! so therefore, no side effects !!! so therefore, no dead people's families, or people with side effects, taking them to court !!! 'It is safe'  or should that read  'Is it safe'
         Tamiflu .... we were told that the young should have it as soon as they showed signs of the flu !! so they handed it out ad hock to all and sundry ...then we are told  that it is unsafe to use on the under 12's ( the British Medical Journal warned the government to "rethink it's  policy on giving the drugs to youngsters affected by the current flu pandemic to avoid any unnecessary ill health" )

 The facts are that Tamiflu only reduces the length of FLU like symptoms by UPTO a day in young children and by UPTO half a day in adults !!! .  Tamiflu was not made for swine flu !!! swine flu didn't exist when Tamiflu was made !!!! (or did it ?) how can you make an anti viral, for a virus that doesn't exist   At best it can only reduce some symptoms associated with FLU. However, it should not be given for mild flu like symptoms , as stated by the WHO.
   Anyone volunteering their kids for the trial of the vaccine ? 6 mths to 12 years old . No need to worry folks, the government have told us it is safe !!!!
