I do love the Christmas adverts on the telly and this year they seem particularly good.  I watched the John Lewis one for the first time yesterday and it is superb!  Quite a tearjerker ad but absolutely brilliant.  John Lewis really do have a knack of doing excellent Christmas ads as the previous couple of years have also been fab.

My other favourite so far this year is the Ant & Dec Morrison's ad with the gingerbread man.

The Christmas ads make up for the poor telly that's on at the moment - particularly now Downton Abbey had the final episode of the series yesterday

I rarely watch "live" TV - mostly download stuff but HAD t watch the last episode of Downton last night so caught a few Christmas ads. Some are terrible but I thought the John Lewis, M&S and Morrisons were really good. Must cost them a FORTUNE

I'm confused    I saw the Ant &Dec one the other day and could have sworn the Waitrose sign came up at the end of it, then I saw the same vid last night and it was Morrisons.  Must have fallen asleep between the end of that and the next ad I think

I saw the John Lewis ad at the weekend and thought it was brilliant! I usually watch pre recorded stuff and skip the ads but I was ironing so ended up seeing them and I'm glad I did, what a lovely thing to watch at christmas time!

We  have not seen any live telly for ages, well only the news, we appear to have been watching all the DVD's we have collected and they mostly have been good......I like a lot of adverts better than the programmes on TV, we often play "guess what they are selling" sometimes its very hard!!

I'm looking forward to the Downton Christmas special - that's already top of my list for 9pm Christmas day!  Can't imagine what storylines will be involved but I do think Michael Gregson will turn up again!  Whatever the storylines it's sure to leave us looking forward to the next series in 2014!  I can also see a romance between Mr Mosley & the Ladies Maid blossoming and eventually between Mrs Hughes and Carson!

I am actually working on a film next sunday, some of the local film makers have entered a ITV comp, they asked if i would do some camera work….which is great..but now they want me to act as well….. to play the part of a farmer  agh well !!! you only live once…. and the winners can win £5K 

at least its not a friggin Zombie  film
